PE Polyethylene (also called "Solidur" or "S")
This highly polymerized plastic is resistant to acid, alkaloids, salts and majority of organic and non organic substances. Due to its excellent mechanical properties, it is often used in machine construction and building. Polyethylene stands out for its sliding properties and high wear resistance. It is also resistant to corrosion what guarantees long life of elements made of it without additional lubrication.
POLYETHYLENE PE 1000
Properties:
- wear and abrasion resistance (also in high speed applications),
- very low friction coefficient,
- high resistance to all chemical substances,
- dimensional stability (it does not absorb water),
- constant and impact noise reduction,
- high constant lubrication throughout the whole working time due to polymerization with mineral oil,
- failure-free work at high speed due to low vibrations,
- high mechanical endurance,
- antistatic or electrical insulating (depending on the type),
- physiologically harmless, admitted to direct contact with food (EU guidance, PZH certificate).
Wear resistance
PE 1000 has very good sliding properties and is highly wear resistant. As a result, parts made from it do not have to be additionally lubricated and maintained. PE is suitable for conveying, packing and pouring machines. It is obtained for scrolls, bottle guides, sprockets, idler wheels, profiles, guide rails and chain tensioners' production.
High impact strength
High notched strength of PE 1000 is also guaranteed in very low temperatures. Therefore, it is an economical alternative for production of parts working in o temperatures up to -260°C.
Contact with food
PE 1000 material is physiologically harmless and admitted to direct contact with food (EU guidelines, PZH certificate). It is suitable for cutting tables in meat and fish industries as well as other applications in food industry. Moreover, it does not consist FCKW, cadmium and silicone.
Chemical resistance
Due to its high chemical resistance, the additional protection of surface against chemicals is unnecessary. Polyethylene can be used in building of sewage treatment plants, valves parts, filters and pumps production as well as installation in chemical industry.
Water applications
Material PE 1000 does not absorb water and while working in wet environment it does not change dimensions and properties.
Noise reduction
PE 1000 has very good muffling proprieties, which allow reducing continuous and impact noises, and as a result, costs connected with noise protection are reduced. Simultaneously, transported load is protected against damage.
Lack of freezing or sticking
Paraffin surface of this material eliminates freezing or sticking of the handling loads. Thanks to these proprieties, PE 1000 is willingly used as a lining in bunkers, silos, in forwarding gutters, storage systems of bulk materials and channel shoots.
Thermal and electric resistance
PE 1000 in natural and green colours has unique thermal and electric insulating properties which make it ideal for production of electro insulating parts. Polyethylene is also characterized by a high resistivity, low dielectric loss factor and good surface resistance. PE 1000 is water resistant, therefore, its electric properties remain the same in wet environment.
Antistatic proprieties
Antistatic PE 1000 in black colour can also be found in our offer. It can be applied everywhere where antistatic proprieties are essential. Due to the admixture of carbon with high conductivity, the electric charges are constantly piped away. This material also possesses improved UV radiation resistance, which is particularly important in outdoors applications.
Colour
PE 1000 is available in natural, green and black colours. On special request, we also deliver plates in other colours.
POLYETHYLENE PE 500
Proprieties:
- good chemical resistance (indifference to acid reactions and alkalis),
- vibration damping and sound insulation,
- high impact strength also in low temperatures,
- resistance on temperature from - 260oC up to + 100oC,
- abrasion and knife cutting resistance,
- easy to keep clean,
- hygienic, indifferent to taste and scent,
- liquid resistance.
PE 500 is suitable for sliding elements and application in dry environment. This material is an economic alternative for more expensive PE 1000. It ca be used in food industry as partitional tables, table tops and boards, etc., in bakeries or slaughter-houses as well as many different. The minimal differences do not pose on obstacle for PE 500 in utilization him to following solutions:
- linings of table tops and tables, the sorters, cutters and feeders,
- parts of machines having direct contact with food,
- elements of transporting lines,
- linings resistant to impact,
- protective slats assembled on walls and doors (shops, warehouses, production places),
- elements of installations of water conditioning as well as sewage treatment plant,
- average and low loaded parts of machines,
- linings of cold rooms and cooling cabins as well as part in cooling devices.
